Ingredients
  

For the Fish

  • 4 pieces Fish Fillet Mild variety like haddock
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon Mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste
  • ½ teaspoon Ground Black Pepper Omit for a milder flavor

For the Seasoning

  • ¼ teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes Adjust based on spice preference
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Coriander Cumin can be used as a substitute

For the Topping

  • 2 tablespoons Avocado Oil Any neutral oil works well
  • 2 cloves Garlic Use fresh for maximum flavor
  • ¼ cup Fresh Herbs Cilantro, dill, green onions, parsley
  • ½ cup Chopped Almonds Walnuts or breadcrumbs can substitute

  • 2 tablespoons Dried Barberries Optional

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 425ºF.
  • Prepare the fish by placing the fillet skin-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Dot generously with Dijon mustard.
  • Mix salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes, and ground coriander in a small bowl. Lightly sprinkle this mixture over the fish.
  • Combine avocado oil, garlic, fresh herbs, and dried barberries in another bowl. Spread this mixture over the fish.
  • Scatter chopped almonds over the top, gently pressing them into the fish.
  • Cover the edges of the parchment with foil.
  • Bake for 15-18 minutes until the almond crust is golden and the fish flakes easily.
  • Drizzle with fresh lemon juice and garnish with extra herbs and lemon zest before serving.
