Ingredients
  

Dairy & Eggs

  • 1 wheel brie 12-13 ounce wheel, I used Ile de France
  • 1 egg egg for egg wash

Sweets

  • 3 tablespoons honey divided

Nuts

  • cup sliced almonds divided

Pastry

  • 1 sheet puff pastry defrosted, rolled out to 11 x 11 inches

Liquid

  • 1 tablespoon water for egg wash

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Roll the puff pastry into an 11-inch square. Place brie in the center of the dough and top with 2 tablespoons of honey and half the almonds.
  • Fold up the corners of the puff pastry one at a time, brushing all the dough with the egg wash as you go. Continue to brush the egg wash over the top and sides of the dough after formed.
  • Bake the brie at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Pull the oven rack out without removing the brie, drizzle with 1 tablespoon of honey and sprinkle with remaining almonds. Bake for another 10 minutes.

Notes

This dish is perfect for gatherings and pairs well with crackers and fruit.
