Equipment

  • Large pot
  • large skillet

Ingredients

  • 12 oz rigatoni pasta
  • 1 lb steak tips, cut into bite-sized pieces Choose high-quality steak tips for better flavor.
  • 3 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup heavy cream Keep the heat low when making the cream sauce to avoid curdling.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook the rigatoni pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season steak tips with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Sear in batches for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium, add 2 tablespoons of butter, and melt. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in 1 cup of heavy cream, add Italian seasoning, and stir. Bring to a gentle simmer, then mix in mozzarella and Parmesan cheese until smooth.
  • Return the cooked rigatoni and seared steak tips to the skillet. Drizzle with remaining butter and toss to combine.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

Aim for medium-rare to medium doneness for the steak. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
