Instructions

Preparation

  • Prepare the Fries: Cook the frozen fries according to the package instructions until crispy, or make homemade fries by cutting potatoes, tossing them in olive oil, and baking at 425°F for 25-30 minutes.
  • Cook the Steak: Drizzle olive oil over the flank steak, season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Sear in a hot skillet for 4-5 minutes on each side, then let it rest before slicing thinly.
  • Make the Cheese Sauce: In a saucepan, melt unsalted butter over medium heat. Whisk in all-purpose flour, then gradually add milk. Stir until thickened (about 3-5 minutes). Mix in shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, and paprika, seasoning to taste.
  • Assemble the Loaded Fries: On a serving platter, lay out the hot fries, add the sliced steak on top, then drizzle the creamy cheese sauce over everything. Pile on optional toppings.
  • Serve Warm: Enjoy your Steak & Cheese Loaded Fries immediately while still hot and cheesy!

Notes
